Privacy Policy (Development / Alpha Stage)

Last Updated: April 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to ThreadVoid.com and its subdomains (the “platform”).

1. Overview

This project is an independently developed software system operated by an individual developer. It is currently in active development and testing (alpha stage), and is not yet a registered business.

As this is a development-stage system, data handling practices may evolve as the platform matures or becomes a registered business.

This Privacy Policy explains what data may be processed or stored within the system, how it is used, and what users can expect when interacting with the platform.

2. Nature of the Project

This platform operates as a shared, persistent environment where interactions contribute to a continuously evolving world.

Participation does not require personal identity, accounts, or real-world personal information.

3. Information Collected

The system may process or store the following types of data:

- Technical Data:
Temporary logs such as IP addresses, request data, timestamps, and basic connection information used for server operation and security.

- System Identifiers:
Automatically generated identifiers (such as manager IDs, keys, or session references) used to maintain continuity within the system.

- Interaction Data:
Actions performed within the system (such as world changes, placements, or interactions), which form part of the persistent shared environment.

No names, email addresses, or personal profiles are required or intentionally collected at this stage.

4. How Data Is Used

Data is used strictly for:

- Operating and maintaining the system
- Enabling interaction within the shared environment
- Preventing misuse or abuse of the platform
- Maintaining system stability and performance

5. Shared and Persistent World

This platform is built around a shared and persistent world model.

- Actions and changes made within the system may remain as part of the environment
- These contributions are not tied to real-world identity
- Contributions are not removed when a user stops participating

By interacting with the system, users acknowledge that their actions may persist as part of the shared world.

6. Data Retention and Removal

As the system does not require personal accounts or identifiable user data:

- There is limited personal data to access or delete
- Interaction data (world changes) may persist indefinitely as part of the system

Users may stop participating at any time by discontinuing use or relinquishing access to their identifiers.

Users may request access to, or deletion of, any personal data held about them by contacting dev@threadvoid.com. Where applicable, reasonable efforts will be made to fulfil such requests.

This does not apply to interaction data that forms part of the shared persistent world.

7. Security

Reasonable measures are taken to maintain system security and integrity.

However, as this is an early-stage development project, no guarantees are made regarding absolute security or data protection.

8. Development Status

This platform is in an active development (alpha) stage.

- Systems, data handling, and features may change over time
- Data structures may be modified, reset, or removed during development
- Stability is not guaranteed

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the project evolves.

Updates will reflect changes in functionality, structure, or legal requirements. Continued use of the system indicates acceptance of the current version.

10. Jurisdiction

This project is operated from Australia and is intended to align with applicable Australian privacy principles, including the Privacy Act 1988, where applicable.

11. Contact

As this is an independent development project, contact may be made via dev@threadvoid.com or designated communication methods provided within the platform.
